Wow, it was a super busy week at GEMS! I'll catch you all up next week with some fun photos! I wanted to announce that our students had another amazing week of attendance. We averaged 94% of the students in attendance for the week. Have a great weekend!

Hope to see you at our Veterans Day Assembly!

Jenn Harris and Jarrod Crow visited the seventh graders at GEMS to dissect salmon. This experience follows the students' visit to Dworshak last week where they got to explore the hatchery to see how the salmon are released to the dam.

We are preparing for our Veteran's Day Assembly which will be taking place at GEMS on November 11th at 9:00. Today, Student Council President, Alex Rogers, is practicing his introduction of Senior Master Sergeant in the Air Force, Mark Hurd. The students who will be speaking at the assembly are getting coaching from Jean Melching and Kathy Warford. These ladies will also be presenting Quilts of Valor to our local veterans. We hope you can join us for the celebration .

Whoop it up Wednesday: The 3rd grade classes all learned about the importance and process of voting. Each class held mock voting sessions that included completing voter registration cards, holding primary elections, going in a voting booth to cast their secret ballot, and graphing the voting results. Mrs. Pfefferkorn's, Mrs. Rambo's and Mrs. Wellard's students can't wait to vote for the president in the 2036 election!
