Mr. Mangun has been hard at work trying to secure funds for the PE Department and weight room. Over this last year he received an amazing grant from LCVHF in Lewiston. This was able to purchase a lot for PE, when most of our equipment was very outdated! Here students show some of the equipment purchased which included: 12 basketballs. 12 volleyballs, 12 soccer balls, 12 footballs, 12 dodgeballs, 12 disc sets (36 discs total), 12 QuikShot bags, a DuraBag Duffel bag, 4 disc golf goals, 5 spartan race pancake sandbags, 5 spartan RAMrollers, 2 spartan kettlebells, and a new gym speaker! We are thankful for programs and opportunities like this to update and increase our lifelong learning capability! Thank you!
Over the last few months Mr. Mangun has been trying to collect shoes and towels for students that need them for gym class. The towels help with the ability for students to shower before heading back to their classes the rest of the day. The shoes will help keep our gym floor looking good for the near future! Coming back from break he was at a loss for words when two giant boxes of brand new shoes and towels came from a community in Kentucky, and a few more from local community members! It is because of people and communities like this, that teachers like Mr. Mangun can't help but step back and appreciate everything that you do to make our school and students successful! Thank you so much!!!
Good morning!
I hope that everyone had a good weekend! We have a lot going on this week in sports activities!
