Congratulations to Serenity Soun for being named this week's Ram of the Week! Serenity is a Senior this year on the softball team. Nice job Serenity! The HS Tennis match that was cancelled last week vs Grangeville on 3/14 due to weather, has been rescheduled for tomorrow 3/22 at home with a start time of 4 pm. Good luck! Go Rams!!! HOSA (Health Occupation Student Association) will be having a Bake Food Sale to raise some money this Friday and Saturday during the HS CV Southfork Slugfest Baseball Tournament.  We had some wrestlers go down this past weekend and wrestle at the Cradle for the Cure Tournament. Luke Nelson wrestled in two brackets. He got 2nd in the 7th/8th grade division and 3rd in the 11/12 age division.Waylon Nelson got 4th in the 11/12 age division.Jesse Rice got 1st in the Middle School girls division.Logan Walker went 3-2Connor Christensen went 3-2Peter Fabbi went 1-2Bass Myers went 1-2 Nice job to all of these student athletes for going down to the Boise Valley and wrestling for a great cause! I hope that everyone had a good weekend and a Happy St. Patrick's Day. The weather does not look promising this week, but hopefully we can get some contests in this week! The HS baseball team split their doubleheader over the weekend with St. Maries, losing the first game 6-5 and then bouncing back and winning the second game 16-6. The JV baseball team will be in action today as they head to Orofino to take on the Maniacs today at 5 pm. Good luck! Go Rams!!! The HS softball team also split their doubleheader with St. Maries, winning the first game 1-0. Jessica Ketola was on the mound and struck out 21 batters in the first game! The Rams ended up losing the second game 9-0. The Lady Rams will be back in action tomorrow evening as they will host Lewis County at 4:30 pm at Fenn Field. Good Luck! Go Rams!!! Congratulations to Jessica Ketola and Tiago Pickering for being selected to represent our school at the Leadership Summit on April 13th at Lewiston HS from 9 am - 1 pm. Nice job to both! Congratulations to Josh Francis (Tennis), Eleah Swan (Tennis) and Ashlynn Ledeboer (Tennis) for being named finalists for the annual North Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame High School Sports Award Banquet. The annual banquet is on April 8th at the Coeur d' Alene Resort. The social hour starts at 5:30 pm, followed by dinner and the awards at 6:30 pm. Once again congratulations to all three of you! Just a reminder that our CVHS Play (Grease) opening show is tonight at 7 pm. It will be showing for three straight nights.

I hope that everyone had a good weekend and remembered to set their clocks forward! A few things going on this week with some of our Spring sports getting started! The HS Tennis & HS Tracks teams will kick off their season this week, along with three straight nights of our Drama Club performing Grease! The CVHS play is March 16th, 17th & 18th with start times of all 3 nights beginning at 7 pm in the CVHS cafeteria. Ticket prices for all 3 nights are $5 each. Also, just to remind everyone, we will be charging a gate for all Spring sports. They will be the normal HS prices. I hope to see you all out to support our Spring athletes! Go Rams!!!

Just a reminder that the District II Boys & Girls Senior Showcase basketball games will be played tomorrow night 3/10 at Lapwai HS, with the girls game starting at 6 pm and the boys game to follow. Here is some information on the JH Bi-State Wrestling Tournament this Saturday March 4th at Lewiston HS. This is from Mr. Martinez about our BPA students. CV had a good showing at BPA Regionals. There were 374 total entries for various academic competitions. Below is a list of our student's success. Jerod Murray- 8th in Computer Programming Concepts- 12th in Fundamental Accounting Autum Martinez- 8th in Parliamentary Procedures- 8th in Medical Terminology Concepts- 3rd in Interview Skills (State Qualifier)- 3rd in Prepared Speech (State Qualifier)- 3rd in Project Management Concepts (State Qualifier)- 2nd in Meeting and Event Planning (State Qualifier) Rayne Martinez (Qualified for State in every category she competed in)- 3rd in Extemporaneous Speech (State Qualifier)- 2nd in Parliamentary Procedures (State Qualifier) - 2nd in Project Management Concepts (State Qualifier) - 1st in Medical Terminology Concepts (State Qualifier)- 1st in Meeting and Event Planning (State Qualifier) - 1st in Health Administration Procedures (State Qualifier) Autum and Rayne will compete at State February 23-25th!  The Spring Sports meeting for HS Track, Tennis, Softball, Baseball and JH Track will now be held tomorrow February 22nd at 5 pm (instead of the original 6 pm) in the CVHS Library. This will give the parents and students a chance to go to the meeting before some of them have to go to the Driver's Ed meeting in Mr. Francis's room (#16) at 6 pm at the Junior High.

Good morning, Congratulations to Louie Fabbi for being named Ram of the Week for this week! Louie is a Senior on the wrestling team and just got done taking first place this last weekend at the district tournament at 145 lbs. He will be competing at state this weekend at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa. Good luck Louie! With the loss yesterday to Prairie 48-39 in the District Tournament our HS boys basketball season came to an end. The boys had an up and down season, but I am proud of them for playing hard all year long! You will all be winners in my book! Go Rams!!! The JH Wrestling team will be in action today at 5 pm in Clarkston at Lincoln Middle School. They will be facing off against Clarkston, Sacajawea, Orofino & Moscow. This is their last dual before they take part in the Bi-State Championships on Saturday March 4th at 8:30 am at Lewiston HS. If you plan on going, please travel safe! Just a reminder that is Senior Night for both HS Boys Basketball & Pep Band is tonight vs Highland. This is a Varsity only contest and Senior Night Recognition will start at 7 pm with the game starting immediately afterwards. Our lone Senior for the HS Boys Basketball team is Austin Curtis and our three Pep Band Seniors are Anthony Skaggs, Jerod Murray and Rayne Martinez. The rest of the band and choir Seniors will be recognized at the last concert of the year. The HS Boys Basketball game tonight vs Kendrick for Senior Night has been cancelled due to illness. The game against Kendrick will not be made up. The game that was at Highland on Thursday February 9th at 6 pm, will now be played at CV on February 9th at 7 pm. This will now be Senior night for our HS boys basketball senior and our pep band seniors.  We have a home JH Volleyball game at 4:30 pm on Thursday February 9th vs Grangeville and then the HS boys basketball team will play afterwards at 7 pm. I hope that everyone had a good weekend! HS boys basketball Senior Night will be on Tuesday February 7th vs Kendrick at 6 pm. We will be honoring our lone Senior Austin Curtis! Austin has played basketball all 4 years of his high school career and Austin also played Center for me on the football team! Come on down on Tuesday evening and let's cheer Austin and the rest of his teammates on to victory! Go Rams! We will also be honoring our three Pep Band Seniors on Tuesday night as well. The three Seniors that we will be honoring are Jerod Murray, Anthony Skaggs and Rayne Marinez. The rest of the Band//Choir Seniors will be honored at the final concert in May. I will be doing Senior Night right at 6 pm for both the basketball team and pep band. With the loss on Saturday vs Troy at Lewiston HS 40-39, the HS girls basketball season came to an end. The girls battled hard all season long right to the end. Go Rams! The JH Wrestling team took home the 1st Place Trophy at the Sacajawea JH Tournament this last Saturday at Lewiston HS!
