Just a reminder that the Spring Concert is tonight at 6 pm in the HS Cafeteria. This is for the JH & HS Band & Choir. Congratulations to Autum Martinez for being named a 1A D1 finalist for the IHSAA Interscholatic Star Scholarship! Nice job Autum on your hard work! The Interscholastic Star scholarship program is sponsored by the Idaho High School Activities Association and First Federal Bank. This scholarship program was established in 1992 to recognize and reward outstanding students who participate in high school athletic and non-athletic activities. Nominees for the scholarships are exemplary students who: Through their participation, strengthen interscholastic sports and activities programs. Are active contributors to school and community organizations and programs. Are good citizens and positive role models for their peers. Promote the ideals of good sportsmanship and citizenship. The game times for the HS softball doubleheader at Kendrick tomorrow (5/2) have been moved to 4:30 pm & 6 pm. They were originally scheduled for 4 pm & 5:30 pm.

Today's HS Softball doubleheader vs Grangeville at 3 pm & 5 pm has been cancelled due to poor playing conditions and more weather moving in. This game will not be rescheduled. I know that this was Senior Night, and I will make sure one way or another that our Seniors get recognized. I will keep you updated and let you know as soon as something is in place.

The HS tennis match at Grangeville today at 4 pm has been cancelled.

I have been informed by Mr. Martinez that the Senate passed the bill that our State Youth Government students were working on. HS tennis @ Orofino tonight at 4 pm has been cancelled. There is no make up date.

Congratulations to the HS softball team for doubling up on the Clarkston JV yesterday with 2 wins. The Rams won the first game 8-2 and the second game 2-1. The Lady Rams will be back in action this next Tuesday, April 30th when they take on the Grangeville Bulldogs at home in a doubleheader at 3 & 5 pm. This will also be Senior Night for the softball team. The HS baseball team received a win last night by forfeit. Lapwai had to cancel last minute as they were loading on the bus to come to Lewiston to play us at Clearwater Field due to not enough players. I was also told that Lapwai will be cancelling the rest of their season as well. The baseball team will be back in action on Thursday, April 25th as they will travel to Clearwater Field in Lewiston to take on the Troy Trojans in a 1+1 (varsity plays first, then JV) contest beginning at 4 pm. Just a reminder that the HS track team is back in action today as they will travel to Prairie to compete in the Prairie HS track meet at 3:30 pm. Good Luck! Go Rams!!!

Mr. Martinez is taking 5 CVHS students to State Youth Government this week. They will be at the capitol building in Boise April 24th & 25th. The track meet at Prairie HS today will start at 3 pm, instead of the original time of 3:30 pm. There will be HS baseball at CV today. The North Idaho Hall of Fame Banquet was held this last Saturday, April 6th. Here at CV, we had two nominees up for awards. We had Jessica Ketola as a finalist for the District I/II 1A/2A/3A Softball Player of the Year and we had Bass Myers as a finalist for two awards, the District I/II 2A/3A Male Wrestler of the Year and the 1A/2A/3A Male Athlete of the Year. Congratulations to Bass Myers for winning the award as North Idaho's 2023-2024 High School Boys Wrestling Athlete of the Year! This is such a huge accomplishment, and I am so proud (along with everyone else) of him!

The HS baseball games scheduled today at 11 am at home vs Grangeville have been cancelled. The games have been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 9th at home at 4:30 pm. There was going to be an Indian Taco fundraiser for Alan Reuben's medical expenses today at the baseball games, but since the games have been cancelled, the fundraiser has been moved to the Southfork Smoke Shop in Kooskia. Good morning! I hope that everyone had a good Spring Break! The HS Tennis match that was scheduled on 4/3 vs Orofino and Culdesac at home at 4 pm has been moved up to tomorrow (4/2). It is calling for snow in Potlatch on Thursday as of now. I will get out the information once things are finalized.
